WHEREAS, the following road has been established to be a County Road as per the Plat of Port
Ludlow No.7; and
WHEREAS, the following road was originally named Northwood Court and has been renamed
Wells Ridge Court in memory ofthe late County Road Maintenance Supervisor Earl Wells; and
WHEREAS, the following road has been constructed to the standards of the Jefferson County
Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the following road will be maintained at public expense; and
WHEREAS, the Official County Road Log is filed in the County Engineer's Office;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Engineer is hereby directed to make the
following addition to the Official County Road Log:

County Engineer's Report: Wells Ridge Court County Road dedication
The referenced dedication is within the Plat of Port Ludlow No.7 which was approved by
the Board on November 3, 1997. The road was originally platted as Northwood Court. The
developer, Olympic Resource Management has applied to change the road name to Wells
Ridge Court in memory of County Road Maintenance Supervisor Earl Wells.
The Department of Public Works reviewed and approved the road construction plans and
the stonnwater management plans, The road was designed in accordance with the
requirements ofthe Department's adopted standards, the Policy on Geometric Design ofthe
American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. The stonnwater
management plan is consistent with the standards of the Washington Department of
Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for the Puget Sound Basin. The Department of
Public Works inspected construction. The materials used in construction conform to the
Standard Specifications ofthe Washington Department of Transportation. The road was
constructed in accordance with the approved plans,
The road would extend the existing County Road system in the area, Accepting the road
would be consistent with previous plats and road dedications in Port Ludlow,
In consideration of the above, I recommend that the Board of County Commissioners
accept the dedication of Wells Ridge Court as a County Road and approve the resolution
adding it to the County Road Log.
