Home My WebLink About100 980.: � v3 is ,7g STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the Matter of: x Resolution No. 100-98 Changing the Name of a County Road x Garten Road, x Garten Drive or x Garten Way x WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received a petition to change the name of a county road from Old Stark Road to Garten Road, Garten Drive or Garten Way as shown on attached Exhibit "A", pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-0401-91 and; WHEREAS, research has shown that there are currently six individuals addressed along the road that will be affected by the road name change. The required 51% minimum signatures appear on the petition pursuant to the Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-0401-91; WHEREAS, a letter of intent and notice of public hearing requesting comments prior to or at the hearing was mailed to the addressees and interested parties on November 23, 1998 as shown on attached Exhibit "B" and; WHEREAS, the Department has received comment(s) regarding the proposed road name change as shown on attached Exhibit "C"and; Road. Please advise all affected parties living on Old Stark Rd., that changing the road name could cause a delay in emergency response to their property. All address or street name changes impact the Fire District! A change requires map changes and extensive communication with the emergency staff, especially the Volunteer responders. I do not have any objection to the change other than the parties affected understand the risk they are about to impose on their properties until a period of time passes and the map corrections and re-training of personnel is completed.
