In the Matter of Establishing
A Petty Cash Fund for
Information Services

RESOLUTION NO. 9-97
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1997 Jefferson County Budget, Information
Services was created as a central services department; and,
WHEREAS, in the development of said department it has become apparent that
there is a need for purchasing small items outside of the normal expenditure
cycle; and,
WHEREAS, Information Services has found that it would be in the best interest of
the County and ensure compliance with the Cash Handling Policy, that a petty
cash fund in the amount of $100.00 be established.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Information Services be granted a petty
cash fund in the amount of $100.00 and the County Treasurer be authorized to
issue a Treasurer's check in the amount of $100.00, payable to Jefferson County
Information Services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said petty cash fund shall be in the form of a
checking account and reconciled and reimbursed monthly through
expenditure voucher system in the Auditor's Office. All reimbursement requests
shall only be accepted with original receipts attached.
