WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners
that it is in the public interest to lease the following described real property for governmental
purposes:
That portion of the S 1/2 of the NE 1/4 (west of County Road #932507), Section 11,
Township 29 North, Range I West, W.M., Assessor Parcel #901111009, Jefferson
County, more particularly des,cribed as follows:
Beginning at the Intersection of Chimacum Road (County Road #932507) and Elkins
Road (County Road #527609), thence 720 feet easterly along the centerline of Elkins
Road, thence 20 feet southerly therefrom, to a point on the southerly margin of the Elkins
Road right of way, the true point of beginning. Thence southerly 45 feet, thence westerly
130 feet, thence northerly 95 feet more or less to the southerly margin of said right of
way, thence westerly along the southerly margin of said Elkins Road right of way to the
true point of beginning. The property described herein contains approximately .20 acres.
Situate in Jefferson County, State of Washington.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of County Commissioners does
now declare its intention to lease said property, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Works Director/County Engineer is
hereby directed to examine said property and report her opinion as to whether leasing this
property is practicable and document all other facts, matters and things which will be of
importance to the Board, and that such reports be filed as soon as possible.
and in contemplation of the language of Statute RC.W. 36.346.160;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, Notice is hereby given that a PUBLIC HEARING will be
held by the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners, March 3, 1997, at 2:00 P.M. at
the Jefferson County Court House, Commissioners Chambers, Port Townsend, Washington, for
the purpose of taking testimony concerning the aforementioned intent to lease County Property.
