Home My WebLink About045 97 ~: p.\ioJ. 3 - J.-~ -Cf"l STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the matter of: x RESOLUTION NO. 45~97 Creation of Little Quilcene x Flood control sub-Zone District x WHEREAS recent flood activity in the Little Quilcene River watershed has been particularly damaging I and; WHEREAS Jefferson County has determined that the formation of a Little Quilcene Flood Control Sub-Zone will be more advantageous to residents susceptible to flood from waters of the Little Quilcene Riverl and; WHEREAS The Quilcene Flood Boardl representing residents in the Big Quilcene River Watershedl supports and desires the creation of the Little Quilc~ne Flood Control Sub-Zone District; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners creates the Little Quilcene flood control sub-zone districtl for the purpose of providing more responsive assistance and support in flood related issues. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Boundaries of said proposed Little Quilcene district be described as follows; PROPOSED LITTLE OUILCENE FLOOD CONTROL SUB-ZONE DISTRICT Those portions of Sections 19 and 301 Township 28 Northl Range 1 Westl W.M.; those portions of Sections 131 211 and 221 all of Sections 23 through 281 all of Sections 33 through 361 Township 28 Northl Range 2 Westl W.M.; that portion of Section 181 Township 27 Northl Range 1 Westl W.M.; those portions of Sections 41 121 131 151 22 and 231 all of Sections 11 21 31 101 111 and 141 Township 27 Northl Range 2 West; that portion of the Olympic National Forest; and that portion of Quilcene Bay more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point located in Quilcene Bay on the section line common to Sections 18 and 191 T27N, R1WI W.M., said point being the intersection of said section line and the westerly boundary of the oyster claim deeded under application No. 3500 (assessorls records Tideland Tax C in Section 19); THENCE west along said section line 23.1 chains more or less to the section corner common to Sections 18 and 19, T27N I R1W, W.M. and Sections 13 and 24, T27NI R2W, W.M.; THENCE continuing west along the north line of Section 24 to the northwest section corner of said Section 24; THENCE south along the west line of Section 24 to the centerline of U.S. 101; THENCE westerly and southwesterly along said centerline of U.S. 101 to the east-west quarter section line of Section 23; THENCE west along said east-west quarter section line to the east ~ corner of Section 22; THENCE continuing west along said east-west quarter section line to the center of Section 22; THENCE north along the north-south quarter section line of Section 22 and Section 15 to the north ~ corner of Section 15; THENCE west along the north line of Section 15 to the southeast section corner of Section 9; THENCE north along the east line of Section 9 and Section 4 to the south line of the N1/2 of the N1/2 of Section 4; THENCE west along said south line to the boundary line of the Olympic National Forest; THENCE southerly along said National Forest boundary to the ridge that forms the divide between Penny Creek, its unnamed tributaries I and Dry Creekl its unnamed tributaries; THENCE westerly along the ridge that forms the divide between Penny Creekl its unnamed tributariesl and Dry Creek, its unnamed tributaries to the southerly summit of Green Mountain laying within 23 r.~. 20f. Graham on July 31, 1908 and described by the county assessor's records as Tideland Tax B in Section 18; THENCE following the north, east, and south boundary of said tideland parcel to the section line common to Section 18 and Section 19, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING.
