THE 1997 STAFFING ADOPTED
AS PART OF THE 1997 BUDGET

RESOLUTION NO. 51-97
WHEREAS, the 1997 Jefferson County Budget adopted on December 16, 1996 as
Resolution 111-96 includes a staffing schedule which indicates the number of approved Full Time
Equivalent (FTE) positions in each County Department; and,
WHEREAS, due to unforeseen circumstances since the time the budget and staffing
schedule was adopted, changes are required in the staffing schedule for the Public Works Department
in order for this department to more efficiently and effectively meet their workload requirements; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the following staffing schedule changes
are hereby adopted:

I reviewed your March 137 1991 letter on ContraCt Service Provider Agreem~t
It was my Wlderstanding from our March 11111 meeting, these new County employees
would not fall under the Labor Agreement unless they could utilize it in its entirety. These
people would work non-union until the budget~ at the beginning ofnm year, was revised.
At that time we wouid meet to negotiate a union Letter ofUnderstaDding on these
positions.
