HomeMy WebLinkAbout055 97 r3f!.- '. fl,A,d) . f"..;l 1- 9'1 -r.ie.t.-14-5 . 7 LurED DtØfs, JEFFERSON COUNTY STATE OF WASHINGTON IN THE MA ITER OF HEARING NOTICE: PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS/EXTENSIONS V ARIOUS COUNTY DEPARTMENTS } } } } RESOLUTION NO. 55-97 WHEREAS, requests have been made on behalf of various Jefferson County Funds for budget appropriations and extensions for their 1997 budgets due to additional expenditures, which were not anticipated at the time of preparing said budgets, and budget extensions to allow expenditures of unanticipated reimbursements received from fees, or grants from the State and Federal government; and WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that a need and emergency exists that could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of preparing the budgets for 1997 and the following sums are needed for appropriation from the unencumbered balances of the funds listed: CURRENT EXPENSE FUNDS: Community Development Animal Services Auditor Auditor/Elections Prosecuting Attorney $88,307.78 10,647.73 6,974.64 1,147.26 4,576.72 TOTAL $111,654.13 OTHER FUNDS: Crime Victims Fund Health & Human Services $15,169.00 68,797.31 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, and that appropriations/extensions be made for the above noted funds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said emer- gency appropriations and extensions and that said hearing be held in the Commissioners' Chambers in the Courthouse, Port Townsend Washington, on the 12th day of May 1997 at the hour of 3:30 p.m., and that notice of said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriations/extensions for such alleged emergency.
