The Washington State Department of Health’s case count does not include results from rapid-antigen tests (home tests). Jefferson County Public Health’s communicable disease team does include home test results in our county’s case count. We estimate that we are catching a larger proportion of our positive cases (close to 50%) while the state reports they are only catching about 16%.
