Dear CHRISTINA & SEAN HAMES:
The Department of Community Development is in the process of reviewing your application. The following
information is needed to continue review of your project.
(1). STORMWATER: According to the submitted Stormwater Calculation Worksheet, the applicant is proposing
2,005.08 square feet of new impervious surface. Projects proposing over 2,000 square feet of new impervious
surface are considered "Medium Stormwater Projects" and are required to meet Minimum Requirements #1 -5
of the 2019 Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington ("2019 SWMMWW"). Please review, fill
out, sign, and submit the Medium Stormwater Packet for this project.
PLEASE NOTE:
(a) Please show AND label all proposed Stormwater Best Management Practices on the site plan.
(b) The assigned assistant planner (Ms. Hunt) can assistant the applicant with selecting best management
practices for roof and driveway runoff. Please notify Ms. Hunt if her assistance is requested.
(2). GEOHAZARD AREA: Upon review of Jefferson County GIS Maps, the proposed new manufactured home
is located within 200 feet of a geological hazardous area (Seismic Hazard Area). The Jefferson County
Department of Community Development ("DCD") is therefore requesting that the applicant consult a
geotechnical professional to conduct a geological assessment of the entire proposed project area. The
geotechnical professional shall prepare a geological letter, geological report, or geotechnical report based on
their findings. Please review JCC 18.22.540(4) to determine what type of geological assessment form should be
submitted to Jefferson County DCD. The report recommendations and /or conclusions will need to include
statement(s) addressing the proposed new manufactured home and the proposed stormwater management
plan.
PLEASE NOTE:
(a) A Notice to Title will be requested after staff review of the submitted Geotechnical Report is completed.
(3). EXISTING BUILDINGS: According to the permit history of the subject property, a mobile home was
installed under BLD1996-00483. Has this mobile home been demolished or is it currently existing? Are there
any other existing structures located on the subject property?
Please submit the above information to the Department of Community Development within 90 days of the
date of this letter which would be 12/5/2022. Please call 360-379-4450 to speak with the assigned planner if
