Existing Tanks / Drainfields / Wells abandonment Notes:
-Existing tank(s) are to be pumped (receipt required), decommissioned,
and removed as necessary. Tank material (concrete) shall be taken
to an appropriate landfill facility for disposal (receipts required).
-Existing drainfields are to be excavated as necessary for installation, otherwise abandoned in place.
*Contaminated materials encountered during installation shall be removed
and placed as shown on the design to allow for pathogen die-off.
The material shall be placed in lifts of no more than 6"-8", each lift covered
with lime. It shall be covered and protected from erosion (covered with 6
inches of uncontaminated soil or other approved material).
-Wells are to be decommissioned by a licensed well driller, documentation required.
