WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received a petition to name a
private road Sickel Loop or Sturgeon Loop or Kodiak Loop as shown on attached
Exhibit "A", pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-0401-91 and;
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name to avoid confusion
in addressing and duplication of similar road names and;
WHEREAS, the petition contains 100% of the signatures of individuals
addressed along the road and;
WHEREAS, a public hearing notice appeared in the Port Townsend
Leader on July 9, 1997 and;
WHEREAS, a public hearing notice and letter of intent was mailed to the one
property owner addressed along the road and agencies affected on July 9, 1997
soliciting comments prior to or at the hearing regarding the naming of the road as
shown on attached Exhibit liB" and;
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 21, 1997 at 3:15 p.m. in the
Board of County Commissioners Chambers to take testimony on the proposed road
name and;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road shall be named Sickel Loop.

comments and testimony regarding a request to name a private road within your
jurisdiction or which may affect your current addressing. Written comments may be
submitted prior to the hearing date and will become part of the record. All interested
parties are encouraged to attend the public hearing. Please contact the Jefferson
County Department of Public Works in writing at PO Box 2070, Port Townsend
Washington, 98368 or call (360) 385-9166 for further information or if you have any
questions.
A location map has been included on the reverse side of this document for your
convenience.
NOTICE OF PUBUC HEARING
INTENT TO NAME A PRIVATE ROAD:
SICKEL LOOP
PROPONENT: GEORGE & KAREN SICKEL
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners on Monday, July 21, 1997, at 3:15 p.m. in the Commissioners' Chambers
at the County Courthouse in Port Townsend, Washington, for the purpose of taking
testimony concerning naming a private road Sickel Loop or Sturgeon Loop or Kodiak
Loop in Section 7. Township 25 North, Range 2 West, in Huckleberry Heights plat, that
portion of the road that abuts Lots 18, 19,20,21, and 22 off Duckabush Road mile marker
0.19 in Brinnon, Washington. Any person may appear at the public hearing and be heard.
Written comments will be accepted prior to the hearing and will be made part of the record.

385-9166. Written comments may be mailed to Jefferson County Public Works at PO Box
2070, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
