Plù ~)Iq 117 STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the Matter of: x Resolution No. 99-,97 Naming Of a Private Road Pizmo Beach Drive, Pizmo Beach Lane or Pizmo Beach Road x x x x WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received a petition to name a private road Pizmo Beach Drive or Pizmo Beach Lane or Pizmo Beach Road as shown on attached Exhibit" A", pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2- 0401-91 and; WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name to avoid confusion in addressing and duplication of similar road names and; WHEREAS, the petition contains the signature of an individual who owns land jointly along the private road and; WHEREAS, research has shown that there is currently one unnamed address assigned in 1968 that will be affected by the road name change and; WHEREAS, a public hearing notice appeared in the Port Townsend Leader on August 6, 1997 and; WHEREAS, a public hearing notice and vicinity map were mailed to the petitioner and agencies affected on August 6, 1997 soliciting comments prior to or at the hearing regarding the naming of the road as shown on attached Exhibit B" and; WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 18, 1997 at 4:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers to take testimony on the proposed road name and; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road shall be named Pizmo Beach Drive. t' ADOPTEDTHIS~AYOF~' 1997. .,- '. , ..- ...- JEFFERSpr-rêoUNTY BO /' / . Lackman Pizmo Beach Drive Dear Sirs: As indicated on the map provide the road in question branches off several times. In the interest of knowing exact locations it is best to name each branch or road extension separately. What happens when the road system gets only one name is that we come to a "Y" in the road and have no idea in which direction to proceed. Proper road names need to be posted and fire numbers clearly marked.
