Fabry, P .E., Director of Public Works / County Engineer FROM: Aubrey Palmer, Project Manager A ~ SUBJECT: Recommendation of award of bid for Old Gardiner Road Restoration, X0l285: The Public Works staff has completed checking the bids for the above referenced project and recommends that the contract be awarded to: Primo Construction Inc, of Sequim, W A for the bid of $ 221,979.74. A minor error was found in the bid submitted. The discovered error involves Bid Item No.2, Clearing and Grubbing. The total error amounts to $185.00 dollars and the error is due to contractor using $1850.00 for Unit Bid price per acre total amount, instead of $2,035. The cost per acre was inadvertently used as the total amount. The error does not modify the Total Contract Amount as bid, and remains unchanged. Prior to contract execution the Proposal will be modified and initialed by Primo Construction Inc. to reflect the minor modification of bid submitted. Following discussion with Steve Lee of Primo Construction, the contractor stated the total for Item No.2, Clearing and Grubbing, should have read $2,035 for total amount.
