ADVANCE TRAVEL FUND }
RESOLUTION NO.~

WHEREAS, the Advance Travel Fund amount has not been increased
since 1993 and travel expenses have increased since that time; and,
WHEREAS, there has been an unprecedented drain on the Advance
Travel Fund, due to higher travel costs and requests for travel funds submitted by
Elected Officials, Department Heads and employees of various Jefferson County
Departments; and,
WHEREAS, it appears necessary that the total sum allotted for this
purpose should be increased from $8,000.00 to $10,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County, that the County Treasurer be, and is hereby
authorized and empowered to draw a warrant upon a properly approved voucher
against the Current Expense Cash Fund, in the amount of $2,000.00, for deposit in
the Seattle First National Bank, subject to checks drawn upon said Advance Travel
Fund. All as contemplated by the provisions of RCW 42.24 and roles and
regulations heretofore promulgated by the Washington State Auditor.
