In the matter of
Establishing a Security Advisory
Board
RESOLUTION NO. 44-96
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners is responsible for the general
health, safety and welfare of County employees and citizens, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners wishes to establish a Security
Advisory Board,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby creates a Security
Advisory Board that shall be vested with the responsibility to address security issues related to the
Jefferson County Courthouse, and all other Jefferson County owned or operated buildings and
facilities for its employees and visitors. That the Security Advisory Board develop security policy,
implement security measures and monitor ongoing security concerns within the County building
system. That said Board shall consist of representation from each of the following Jefferson
County Departments and offices:
Sheriff's Office
Law and Justice Group
Public Works Department
Health & Permit Center
Assessor, Auditor, Treasurer Offices
BOCC
That said Board may add representatives from other County Departments, groups, agencies,
interest groups or companies according to said Board's due process.
