RESOLUTION NO.
87-96
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners
that it is in the public interest to lease the following described real property for governmental -
purposes:
That property known as a portion of the H.J. Carroll Park approximately 4.13 acres of
unimproved land triangular in shape situated in the Southeast comer of the Park. The first
leg of the triangle is 600 feet in length along the Easterly boundary of the Park measured
from the Southeast comer; the second leg of the triangle is 600 feet in length along the
Southerly boundary of the Park measured from the Southeast corner; and the third leg of
the triangle is a straight line, approximately 849 feet in length, connecting the most
Northerly point of the first leg, as aforesaid, to the most Westerly point of the second leg,
as aforesaid; all situated in the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 11, Township 29 North,
Range 1 West, Willametter Meridian, more descriptively shown on attached "Exhibit A",
and in contemplation of the language of Statute R.C.W. 36.36.180,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of County Commissioners does
now declare its intention to lease said property, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Works Director/County Engineer is
hereby directed to examine said property and report her opinion as to whether leasing this
property is practicable and document all other facts, matters and things which will be of
importance to the Board; and that such reports be filed as soon as possible.
