Advisory Board

COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
RESOLUTION NO.
101-96
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners is responsible for providing
safe and efficient transportation corridors, and for advising on the prioritizing and funding of all
Transportation projects, including necessary planning and updating of maintenance standards,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners wishes to establish a
Transportation Advisory Board,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby creates a Transportation
Advisory Board that shall be vested with the responsibility to make recommendations to the
Board of County Commissioners on the prioritization of projects related to Transportation. This
advisory board shall work with the Department of Public Works staff to solicit, analyze, and
prioritize projects on an ongoing basis. Said board shall consist of representation from each of
the following Agencies and commissioner districts:
· City Public Works and Utility representatives, Staff
· Local Road Contractor, one member
· Two Citizen Representatives from each Commissioner District for a total of six citizen reps:
· District One, two members
District Two, two members
· District Three, two members
This board may add representatives from other County Depai~tments, groups, agencies, interest
groups or companies according to said board's due process. This advisory board will adopt by-
laws, set a schedule of times and places for meetings, and be responsible for similar matters
related to its function. The Washington State Department of Transportation and the Jefferson
County Sheriff's Department will provide staffing for this board when appropriate. This
resolution hereby repe.als and replaces Jefferson County resolutions numbered 13-78 and 18-78.
