Fabry, Director/County Engineer MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: Will Butterfield Robert Nesbitt September 6, 1996 Redeemer Way I inspected a private road named Redeemer Way and found it to be 310 feet long by 33 feet wide. The base material is good and the crushed surfacing appears to be material that meets State specifications. The road at the present time is used by the Church of the Redeemer to access the church parking lot. Also platted property to the south is using this section of road as access. The road is rough graded, but not surfaced beyond the 310 feet and leads to the top of a small ridge. The property beyond the end of the road is approximately 100 acres of undeveloped property. The road at the present time is no more than a driveway for the Redeemer Church and the platted property to the south. I do not feel the County should take over this section of road at the present time. the future if there is more development that uses the road as access then I feel the County should look into accepting the road. In The cost to bring the 310 feet of road up to County standards is approximately $2,500.00. 100% Recycted Paper JEFFERSON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RO. Fabry, Director/County Engineer Memorandum DATE: November 1, 1.996 TO: Will FROM: Scott ~ RE: Redeemer Way Traffic Report Per your request, I have look at the proposed Redeemer Way in regards to traffic. The existing road presently serves the church, a six lot long plat. and approximately 43 acres of undeveloped property. The estimated traffic count on this road, based on the 5th edition of the I.T.E. Trip Generation Manual, varies from 160 on a weekday to 457 on a Sunday. There is also potential for this roadway to connect through to Elkins Road in the future. There are no known plans at this time for the development of the property east of the church and the long plat, however it is presently zoned at 1 residence per 10 acres. There has been no other traffic related studies completed in regards to this road. I hope this information helps you.
