IN THE MATTER OF DISSOLVING }
COUNTY COURTHOUSE BUILDING BOND }
FUND AND THE COYLE COMMUNITY }
CENTER PROJECT FUND AND PROVIDING }
FOR AN EQUITY TRANSFER OF MONIES }
RESOLUTION NO. 119-96
WHEREAS, the County Courthouse Building Bond Fund was established in
1969 for the purpose of installing the Courthouse elevator; and,
WHEREAS, the Coyle Community Center Project fund was established in
1991 to build the Coyle Community Center; and,
WHEREAS, these funds have not been used for the past several years and
the County Treasurer has indicated that it is no longer necessary to retain a special
County Courthouse Building Bond Fund or a Coyle Community Center Project Fund.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County that the County Treasurer is hereby directed to
transfer the balance of monies remaining in the County Courthouse Building Bond
Fund and the Coyle Community Center Project Fund into the County Capital
Improvement Investment Fund in the form of a residual equity fund transfer. Any
future collections on these two funds should also be transferred into the County
Capital Improvement Investment Fund in the form of a residual equity transfer.
BE ITFURTHER RESOLVED, that the closing of the Coyle Community
Center Project Fund shall have no effect on the future possible resolution of two
remaining building issues brought up by Park and Recreation District No. 1.

SUBJECT: Closure of unnecessary funds
I have two funds on the books which have some money still in them which are no longer used. I
believe their should be a resolution to close these funds and transfer the monies to other funds. The
County Courthouse Building Bond fund has $6,683.11 still remaining in it. We still have $30.18
to collect here so the resolution should include any future collections be transferred also. Since this
Commissioner bond was for the installation of the elevator, I feel we should transfer these monies
to the County Capital Improvement Investment fund.
The Coyle community Center Project has $67.12 remaining. This was established to build the
center and the money should probably go to the ' _ va ~ fund.

This would close out funds that have had no action for the past few years. I would like to clean
these up prior to the end of the year. Thanks!
