Designating the Stormwater Administrator As Provided for in the Jefferson County Stormwater Management Ordinance Resolution No. 116-96 WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has adopted the Jefferson County Stormwater Management Ordinance No. 10-1104-96; and WHEREAS, Section 5.1 of the Stormwater Management Ordinance directs the Board of County Commissioners to designate a Stonnwater Administrator who is trained in stormwater management; and WHEREAS, Section 5.1 of the Stom~water Management Ordinance assigns functions and responsibilities to the Stonnwater Administrator which include assisting the public in the interpretation and application of the Ordinance; providing flow charts, matrices, standard drawings, and educational materials that aid in the understanding of the Ordinance; assisting project applicants to prevent violations of the Ordinance or of Best Management Practices; developing and implementing procedures to administer and enforce the Ordinance; approving, conditionally approving, or denying applications for activities regulated by the Ordinance; and inspecting and approving projects at various stages of work to ensure that adequate control is being exercised; and WHEREAS, these duties can best be provided as a service of the Community Development Department-Permit Center; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Director of Community Development is hereby directed to appoint a Stormwater Administrator who is authorized to carry out the functions and responsibilities of the Stormwater Administrator as set forth in the Stonmvater Management Ordinance.
