SUBJECT: Appoint Member to the Jefferson County Risk Management Committee
(RMC) Per Resolution No. 54-19 (No Expiration of Terms): Human Resources
Director Sarah Melancon as Risk Coordinator/Assistant Risk Manager
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Effective July 23, 2021 the Risk Coordinator/Assistant Risk Manager position on the Risk Management
Committee became vacant. In the past, the Human Resources Manager has served on the Risk
Management Committee as the Risk Coordinator/Assistant Risk Manager. On October 1, 2021 Sarah
Melancon began employment with Jefferson County as the Human Resources Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners appoint Human Resources
Director Sarah Melancon as Risk Coordinator/Assistant Risk Manager to the Risk Management
Committee, asconfigured under Jefferson County Resolution No. 54-19 effective immediately.
