Subject: Award of Contract, Transfer Station Pit Scale Replacement,
Project No. 40121060
Statement of Issue: Award of Contract to Michelli Measurement Group, of Kent
Washington for their bid of $241,558.31 for the above referenced project.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: Public Works has completed checking the
bids for the above referenced project, and recommends award of the contract to
Michelli Measurement Group for their bid amount of $241,558.31.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The bid amount is $241,558.31. Construction
will be funded at 100% from the Solid Waste Equipment Reserve Fund.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize the Award of
Contract to Michelli Measurement Group, and return the original to Public Works for
further processing.

Transfer Station Pit Scale Replacement

• The Call for Bids was issued by the Board of County Commissioners on May 16th, 2022.
■ Due notice of the Call for Bids was given as required by law.
• Sealed bids were received and opened in public on June 21, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at the Jefferson
County Public Works office via BOCC Zoom Meeting.
■ The Public Works Department has completed checking the bids and has investigated the
qualifications of the lowest bidder and the suitability of the proposed scales for the application.
■ Bid tabs are attached for reference.
The Public Works Department recommends that the construction contract be awarded to the lowest
responsive bidder:
Michelli Measurement Group, of Kent Washington for their bid amount of $241,558.31 for the
Transfer Station Pit Scale Replacement, Project No. 40121060
