O'Meara with Commissioner Walter A. Kelly present and Commissioner George Huntingford absent. Commissioners signed Bid Call for sale of cold decked timber on Alder Creek Road construct- ion site for August 16th at 10:00a. m. Mrs. Maxine Smith appeared with request for "Trailor Park" signs for Lake Leland, and also signs limiting the speed of boats on the lake. Stated people are continually driving in asking directions to the parking area. She feels it is dangerous to allow water skiing and racm b cause of the swimmers and fishermen. s ttat s�se- i s b_ '_______ __ i Chairman O'Meara will check with the Sportsmen Club. Commissioners approved and signed July bills to be paid in August, as follows: Mr. Bob Murdock and Mr. Jim Matteson, Consulting Engineers from Futrell Inc. appeared re: Solid Waste Management. Informed Board of history of company. and their qualifications. Said the State will allocate up to 75% and county may pay balance with cash or "in kind" service. Stated that agreement was necessary between the co unty and city. Chairman O'Meara stated the county needed a "price" to go by due to two companies offering consulting services. Futrell will present a proposal to the county with estimate of cost and guideline. Noel Adams, Engineer from Pacific Rim, appeared re: Stadium Roof for Memorial Field. Presented plans for Board's approval. Chairman O'Meara advised extension of roof and wings on sides. Mr. Adams stated he would make the adjustments and return plans to the Engineer's office by next Monday. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Chairman O'Meara to approve minutes of last meeting. Commissioners signed contract with Ralph Wells for work on Hoh River Road, Co. Rd. No. 216. Notice from Teamsters Local No. 589 to reopen the contracts with the County Road Crew and the Sheriff's Dept. for the purpose of discussing changes in wages and working conditions. No comment from the Board, Letter from Don Morrison, District Sanitarian, re: Plat of Toandos Del Mar. Expresses concern with proposal presented by Developer. States per lot fee for construction of sewage treatment plant cannot be determined until plans have been approved by Health and Ecology Depts.; agrees that no building permits should be issued prior to sewer installation, but recommends that no sewage disposal permits be i ssed. Also recommends the developers obtain written approval of the sewage disposal plans by the two State departments and that water is available in satisfactory guantities from an approved source before considering further proposals. Board received copy of notice from State Liquor Board of disapproval of application from Class E license from Port Ludlow Marina. Notice from Clallam-Jefferson Co. Community Action Council, Inc. of a federally funded program for low-income disadvantaged people. No comment from the Board. Board received notice and examples of new school traffic signs from State Highway Comm- ission. Signs are part of proposed 1970 National Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Minutes of August 9th. con't. August Board of Equalization reconvenied at 2:OOp. m. Assessor, Jim Sofie, presented Abstract of Assessed Values of Real and Personal Property for 1972, as equalized by the County Board. Real Property - Outside of Town - 55, 366, 561 Inside of Town - 14, 590, 645 Total 69, 957, 206 Personal Property - 22, 664, 140 There being no further business before the Board of Equalization and with all decisions having been made on each petition received, by motion of Kelly and second by O'Meara, the 1971 Board of Equalization adjourned sine-die. There being no further business before the Board of Commissioners, the meeting was adjourned.
