O'Meara with all members present. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, seconded by Commissioner Kelly to accept minutes of March 15th. meeting with addition that motion not to acquire Damsite property owned by Clallam Co. PUD was unanimous by the Board of Commissioners. Meeting between the Board, Mr. John Chesterly, Mr. aryl Mrs. Robert Fish, Mr. C. Conrad Green, Attny. and Mr. Mike Cheney, representing Pope& Talbot Inc. , re: Swanson Blvd. , Drainage. It was stated that years ago original drainage culvert was filled and consequently water is flowing over their property causing considerable expense and damage. Property where original culvert was located owned by four other people whom they have been unable to contact. Those appearing ask that situation be remedied and for assurance that problem not be ?epeted when other lots in that area are plated. Eng. Becker will send letter stating problem and probable solution to four property owners who did not appear with the hope that permission will be granted for the county to lay drainage pipes at the site of original culvert. Copy of notice from Kenneth J. Merry, Supervising Eng. , Dept. of Health, that approval for Seamount Estates Water System had been denied due to lack of all pertinent information. Statement of intention to assert a claim from State of Wash., Plaintiff vs Chas. Pfizer & CO. Inc. , American Cyanamid Co. , Bristol-Myers Co. , Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp. and The Upjohn Co. , Defendants, was read by Commissioners. Notice will be sent that Jeff. Co. does not intend to assert a claim. Commissioners received letter with resolution from Dept. of Civil Defense re: Up-grading p county program and adopting State Merit System. No action will be taken by he Board at this time. Notice from State Liquor Control Board of transfer of Class H license from Holland Fred Barrett to Randolph Holland Barrett, Discovery Bay Lodge. Also copy of Class H license No. 354439 issued March 18, 1971. Mr. William Bishop appeared re: County right-a-way contiguous to his property. Mr. Bishop intends to build a new home and install a pipeline to the packing house. Wants assurance from Commissioners that his house and pipe line will not end up on county pro- perty. Survey right now is not possible. Question not resolved at this time. Commissioners received Appendix No. 2 of Comprehensive Study of Puget Sound & Adjacent Waters Survey from Puget Sound Task Force. • 11:00a. m. Bid Call for insurance for West-end Annex. One bid submitted Welch Ins. Co $1832. 00. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to accept bid from Welch Ins. Co. Annex building and equipment $1086. 00, Highway Dept. building and equipment $746. 00, grand total $1832. 00 Deletions will be made in present policy after discussion with Eng. Becker concerning liability coverage. Commissioners received 1972 FAS Allocation to Counties FAS Fund Statement from State Highway Commission. Commissioners received request from Ken Stevens, Thurston Co. Commissioner for infor- mation regarding organization of a Housing Authority. All pertinent info will be sent to Mr. Stevens. Meeting adjourned.
