O'Meara with all members present. Commissioners approved and signed February bills to be paid in March, as follows: Moved by Commissioner Kelly, seconed by Commissioner Huntingford to approve minutes of March 1st. meeting. Commissioners signed Resolution No. "-71, Co. Rd. Project No. 330, to replace bridge on Co. Rd. No. 4-0. 13; as follows: Commissioners signed Resolution No..3'=71, Co. Rd. Project, No. 331, to improve by paving, Co. Rd. No. 10, as follows: Mr. Earl Butts appeared before the Board just to say "hello" to the Commissioners. Letter from the Jefferson County Fair Board stating that proper concrete markers were ;posted on Feb. 20, 1971 after completion of survey by the Jefferson Co. Eng. Dept. Application for assistance from Soldiers' & Sailors' Relief Fund from James Hirsehel. Chairman O'Meara will check out application before action is taken. Petition to grade, ditch and install culverts on Willow St. in Paradise Bay. Eng. Becker explained that road was never put in, consequently water is running down washing out peoples lawns. Petition stated water is seriously affecting septic tanks. Engineer Becker requested to write letter in answer to petition explaining that opening road would multiply problems of water running down access roads. People would have to pay for their own driveways and drainage pipes. • John: Doubek, Jeff. Co. Civil Defense Director, appeared re: Federal funding program. State Civil Defence representative would like to have meeting with Commissioners to explain program. Meeting is to be held on Monday, March 15th at 1:30p. m. Moved by Commissioner Huntingford, seconded by Commissioner Kelly to appoint Gene Hansen to fill Position No . 2, vacated by Larry Hilts, as recommended by Commissioners of Fire Dist. No. 3. Commissioners signed proposed Agreement re: Swimming area on Lake Leland. Agree- ment will be with State Game Dept. • Commissioners received letter from Rep. Paul H. Conner stating that he agrees with their views relating to Historical Society Budget. Notice from Dept. of Revenue re: Cities, Counties share $29. 9 million. Memorandum from Pros. Attny. Daly re: Williams vs Egan Stated a not dissimilar s ituation was presented in King County in 1962, Letter from Cook & Dunlap, Attny's. re: Throne vs Jeff. Co. Advised they will move for a consolidation of the two plaintiffs cases going and also for a transfer of venue to Jeff. Co. •
