MINUTES
February 16, 1971 •
10:00a. m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A. M. O'Meara with all members present.
Application for assistance from Soldiers' & Sailors' Relief Fund approved for Donald A.
Guthrie for $82. 25. Chairman O'Meara will check on application from Delores Lindley.
Motion made •by Commissioner Kelly, seconded by Commissioner Huntingford to approve
minutes of February 8th.
County Trust land transmittal of funds: $192 from 011ie Stamper, $60 from 011ie Stamper,
$96 from Dick Lomsdalen, $32 from Henry P. Mullins and $96 from Henry P. Mullins.
Letter from Olympic Health District re: Marine View Estates, Division No. 2, Camper
Club plans. Stated that in general,• they approve of plans. Suggested that all Covenants and
the Constitution and Bylaws of the Camper Club be submitted for review prior to final
acceptance.
Hearing for Marine View Estates Division No. 2, Camper Club. Mr. John T. Swift and Mr.
Clifford Berry appeared with plans. As yet, there are no rules and regulations governing
Camper Clubs, consequently Commissioners can not legally approve or disapprove plans.
Mr. Swift stated he was working very closely with Mr. Donald A. Morrison, District Sanitar-
ian, Olympi c Healt h District, and would comply with all of their regulations. Lots will not
be sold, only membership in the Corporation, which will allow them to park thei r Trailors
and/or Campers on a certain lot for thirty consecutive days. Moved by Commissioner
Kelly to approve plan for main,road through Camper Club with the stipulation that it is made
to county specifications and will be under the jurisdiction of the Co. Engineer's Office.
Road is to be turned over to the county after completion. Second by Commissioner Huntingfor•
Request from G. Brian Egan for recording of meeting with Williams, Dupuis and Aiker to be
held until matter is settled.
Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kellyto give Rhododendron
Festival Committee permission to use Memorial Field on May 14th and 15th.
Letter from Pros. Attny. William Daly advising that Jefferson County does not need the
revenue during the fiscal year. 19.71 with respect to Bingo-type pinball machines and there-
fore Mr. McKee should be premitted to carry on a legitimate business without impost.
Letter from Pros. Attny. Daly regarding outraged c itizens with County Road Project on
Marrowstone Isl. Engineer Becker stated there. is one fence on right-of-way which owner
refused to move. Requested permission to have Sheriff's Deputy present when fence is re-
moved.

Meeting with Val Cameron, Representative, EDA. Informed Commissioners there is no
designated funding for Clallam-Jefferson Counties this fiscal year.
Frank White, of Toandos Del Mar appeared re: County Planning Commission disapproval of
Plat. He was informed the Commission had been given the wrong set of plans, and will re-
submit their recomendation to the Board. Toandos Del Mar preliminary plans were approved
by the Board of Commissioners.
