A RESOLUTION establishing a special warrant account to be designated the
"Bicentennial Beautification Fund "; providing for the cre-
ation of a budget for said fund; and declaring an emergency
to meet the same; and transferring money from the Current
Expense fund to the "Bicentennial Beautification Fund" as
working capital until money is reimbursed from the United
States Government.
WHEREAS, Jefferson County has heretofore enterd into a
contract with the Pacific Northwest Regional Commission wherein and
whereby certain expenditures of the county become reimbursable by the
United States Government under Title X Job Opportunity Program, and
WHEREAS, to conform with standards of public accounting a
budget in the amount of $114,048.00 has been prepared, a detailed copy
of budget and 'in kind services' heretofore attached; and
WHEREAS, a payroll has to be met and no money has been re-
ceived as of this date from the United States Government;
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer is author
rued to transfer the amount of $30,000.00 from the Current Expense funa
to the new account entitled the "Bicentennial Beautification Fund" for
the sole purpose of meeting the payroll.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that when the money is received
from the United States Government under Title X Job Opportunity Program
that the Treasurer is then authorized to transfer the amount of
$30,000.00 from the "Bicentennial Beautification Fund" back to the
Current Expense fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the foregoing and objectives
hereof are within the provisions of RCW 36.40.180, and the necessary
expenditures to meet this emergency are hereby authorized without further
notice or hearing.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this lst day of March, 1976.
