WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County,
have before it the matter of meeting an emergency to provide additional
funds in the amount of $752.03 for the Planning Department to allow pay-
ment for the extension of the Marine Resources Baseline Study; and
WHEREAS, the funds expended for this purpose will be reimbursed
by the State of Washington as per Coastal Zone Management Contract No.
305 -4 by and between Jefferson County and the Department of Ecology; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board that an emergency exists as
could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of making the
budget for 1976, and the sum of $752.03 is necessary to meet such emer-
gency and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appro-
priation be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation of $752.03 be made for the Planning Department to
be used for the purpose as set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County
Commissioners Chamber of Jefferson County on the 15th day of March, 1976,
at the hour of 10:00a.m., and that notice of said hearing be published
in the official newspaper of Jefferson County and that, at said hearing
any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the
appropriation for such alleged emergency.
