WHEREAS, the Sheriff of Jefferson County has re-
ceived from the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission
funds provided in the National Highway Safety Act amounting
to $942.90, for the purchase of a radar gun to assist in
traffic safety on Jefferson County roads and highways, and
WHEREAS, under statute law and rules and regulations
promulgated by the Division of Municipal Corporations of
the State Auditor's Office of the State of Washington, in
order to permit payment to the seller of said merchandise,
it is necessary that an emergency be now found and declared
to exist to permit the disbursement of said purchase price;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the aforementioned
facts constitute an emergency and that the exact amount of
money to meet such emergency is $942.90, and that the County
Auditor of Jefferson County be, and she is hereby authorized
and empowered to draw her emergency warrant on the Current
Expense Fund chargeable to the Office of Sheriff, upon the
presentation of a properly approved voucher, and that this
resolution be in force and take effect without further notice
of hearing, the statute so permitting.
ADOPTED this 5th day of April, 1976.
