WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board
of County Commissioners that the Jefferson County Civil service
Commission's budget for 1976 has insufficient funds to meet additional
expenditures necessary for compliance with proceedures directed under
RCW 41.14; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board that an emergency exists as
could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of making
the budget for 1976 and the sum of $650.00 is necessary to meet such
emergency and is for the best interest of Jefferson County that the
appropriation be made;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation of $650.00 be made for the County Civil Service
Commission to be used for salaries and wages, supplies, and other
services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County
Commissioner's Chambers of Jefferson County on the 24th day of May,
1976, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice of said hearing be
published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County and that at
said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or
against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
