HomeMy WebLinkAbout045 76 WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County, Washington, that fairness demands that the cost of living increase be recognized and met equally throughout for county employees; that a 2.2 percent wage and .salary increase be granted them retroactive to July 1, 1976 and that certain funds should be expended for the foregoing purpose; and WHEREAS, expenditure of such funds was not included in the 1976 budget of said county; and WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency exists and that the necessity for the expenditure of such funds could not have been reasonably foreseen by said Board at the time of final adoption of said budget; and WHEREAS, this is a stated meeting date of said Board with all members present, therefore BE IT RESOLVED that the foregoing facts constitute an emergency and that the estimated amount of funds to meet such emergency is $13,516.38 chargeable to budgetary items as follows: County Road Fund Current Expense Fund Solid Waste Election Reserve ~r~asurer.!s/O & M fund Regional Planning $6,976.20 $5,805.77 $ 486.02 $ 40.10 $ 84.13 $ 124.16 and payable to all county employees (except administrators and office heads) receiving compensation under the foregoing budgetary classifications, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of a public hearing upon such expenditures shall be given, said hearing to be held on Monday., the .. ~th ~ay io.f ~July. 1976, at the hour of ten o'clock, in the forenoen of said day, in the Commissioners Chambers in the Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington.
