WHEREAS, there was filed with the Auditor of Jefferson County, a petition for the purpose of forming a cemetery district under the provisions of RCW 68.16, et seq., and said Auditor having found and determined that said petition contains a sufficient number of signatures of qualified persons, and having attached thereto her certificate of sufficiency, accompanied by an obligation signed by two petitioners agreeing to pay the cost of publishing the notice of hearing for the formation of a cemetary district, and transmitted the same to the Board of County Commissioners, and said Board having fixed Monday, the 9th day of August, 1976, at the hour of 11:00 a.m. of said day in the Commissioner's Chamber, Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, as the time and place for the hearing of said petition, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has the full authority to hear and determine the petition; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing on the petition, said Board finds that the formation of a cemetary ~istrict would be conducive to the public welfare and conven- ience; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a cemetery district be formed in conformance with the following: 1. That the name and number of said district shall be Jefferson County Cemetery District No. 1; 2. That the boundaries of the cemetery district shall include all of the property described as follows: Sections 6,7,18,19, Twp. 25N., R.1W., W.M. Sections 2,3,6,7,8,9,10,11,14,15,16,17,20,21,22,23,28, 29,30,31,and 32, Twp. 25N., R.2W W.M. Sections1,2,3,11,12,13,14,23,24,26,28,29,30,33,34, and 35, Twp. 26N., R. 2W. W.M. Section 23 and Section 24, Twp. 26N., R. 3W. W.M.; And striking a line off shore from Section 35, Twp. 26N., R. 2W. W.M., in Hood Canal south to the Mason County line, all lying in Jefferson County. 3. That an election be held with in said boundaries in conjunction with the September 21, 1976 primary election to determine whether or not the district shall be organized under the provisions of RCW 68.16.060, and for the purpose of electing its first cemetery district commissioners; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that: Zula A. Kelly Leslie V. Britt Harry L. Bailey having met the requirements for candidacy, the auditor is hereby instructed to place their names on the primary election ballot for election as Commissioners for Jefferson County Cemetery District No. 1.
