WHEREAS, Part 51, of Subpart D of Title 31, Code of Federal
Regulation, amended Octorber, 1975, authorizes the expenditure of
Revenue Sharing funds for the acquisition of property for recreat-
ional purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made a
purchase offer for all of Block 7, in the Brackens Addition to
the City of Port Townsend, which adjoins the Jefferson County
!,'air grounds, and said offer has been accepted by the present
owner; and
WHEREAS, said property will be utilized for public
recreation under the directorate of the Jefferson County Fair
Board;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County Auditor be
anu sne is hereby authorized to draft a warrant in the amount
of ten thousand, five hundred and 00 /100 dollars ($10,500.00)
from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund for the purchase of Block
7 in the Brackens Addition to the City of Port Townsend for
use by the Jefferson County Fair Board for recreat.ional purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a warrant be drafted from
the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund for the amount of $35.47 to
cover costs incurred from payment of the escrow fee.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August, 1976.
