WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County,
Washington, having been advised that due to increased workload in the
Auditor's office there is a need for an additional employee and appro-
priation to carry on the Auditor's business; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide funds for the Sheriff's
Department to cover costs incurred due to additional main jail inmate
board and vehicle repair and maintenance; and
wHEREAS, hearing was set and. notice published for one week as
required by law for providing said appropriations; and
WHEREAS, this being the stated time, date and place set for
said hearing;
THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the Board of County Commis-
sioners that there be, and there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$3,092.00 for the Auditor's Office and $15,234.00 for the Sheriff's
Department in unexpended funds to provide for the aforementioned
emergencies, and be it
FURTHER ORDERED, that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby
empowered -to draw warrants against the accounts listed on'the attached
sheet, not exceeding the gross amounts so appropriated unless a review
is applied for within five days from date hereof.
