As you’re all-too-aware, the Port Townsend/Coupeville route is on one-boat service until next spring. We understand the constraints that places on travel between Jefferson and Island Counties and have taken seriously requests for additional capacity on weekends with significant events. While we don’t have crewing available to add a second boat for this weekend’s “Port Townsend Fiddle Tunes,” at this time Dispatch has been able to fill the additional crewing positions required to load the Salish to its full passenger capacity. While not perfect, we hope this allows more people to enjoy the event. We’ll keep working on crewing for future community events and I’ll let you know as we’re able to add service. Best, John John B.
