Hello Jefferson Co. Youth & Family Service Collaborators,
The pandemic has taught many of us about being flexible and how best to meet folks where they're "at." In this spirit, this is just a quick note to let you know of several mobile supports
for families this summer (most will continue after summer with the exception of the YMCA meal deliveries). Please share with anyone who may benefit from these services:
1. DSHS Mobile Community Services Office <https://www.dshs.wa.gov/esa/csd-mobile-office/mobile-community-services-office> : is coming to Brinnon Community Center on Tues., 7/19 (10am-1pm)
and Port Townsend Food Bank on Wed.s, 7/20 (10am-2pm). The DSHS Mobile Community Services Office is available for applications, reviews, changes, ID vouchers, add additional free minutes
to contracted lifeline phone plans and assistance for the following programs: Basic Food Assistance, Cash Assistance, Medicare Savings Program, and Disability Medical Assistance. Additionally,
Mobile CSO staff can assist with replacing your EBT Quest card and provide information on Washington Connection and healthcare coverage through Health Plan Finder.
2. YMCA of Jefferson County <https://www.olympicpeninsulaymca.org/locations/branch/ymca-of-jefferson-county/> 's Summer Meals Program: South and East Jefferson families with children
(ages 0-18) who need extra food support this summer can fill out this Meals Survey <https://forms.gle/p2uxxwuqBQYGrsBq8> to get free, weekly, nutritious meal boxes delivered to their
homes.
3. OlyCAP <https://olycap.org/> 's weekly, Mobile Food Market is coming to the Caswell-Brown Village (on Mill Road in Port Townsend) starting this Thursday, 9-11am.
4. Diapers-on-the-go: for families in need of free diapers and wipes, I'm happy to deliver to homes/convenient locations (I will coordinate with our meal deliveries whenever possible).
This program is made possible through the Y's partnership with First Step Family Support Center <https://firststepfamilysupportcenter.org/programs/safety-supplies-equipment/> . Families
are also able to pick up diapers at the following "depots": Brinnon Community Center (M-F, 9am-1pm) and YMCA at Mountainview, Port Townsend (please make an appointment with me).
5. Jefferson County Library Bookmobile <https://jclibrary.info/use-the-library/bookmobile/> with WSU Seed Library <https://jclibrary.info/2022/05/12/25247/> : So much goodness on wheels!
