RESOLUTION NO. 16-94
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners is responsible for the general
health, safety, and welfare of County citizens, and
WHEREAS, the creation of safe, aesthetic non-motorized transportation corridors is related
to the general health, safety, and welfare of County citizens, and
WHEREAS, there exists a number of individuals, groups, and agencies interested in
planning and coordinating non-motorized transportation corridors within the County, and
WHEREAS, said individuals, groups, and agencies can assist the Board of County
Commissioners in carrying out its many responsibilities,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby creates a Larry Scott
Memorial Park Advisory Committee;
That said Committee will adopt by-laws, set a schedule of times and places for meetings,
and be responsible for similar matters related to its functions, and
That said Committee will from time to time report to, and apprise, this Board as to the
status of the Larry Scott Memorial Park project, and
That said Committee will consist of representation for each of the following groups,
agencies, interest groups, or companies:
- Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Citizen Advisory Board
- Jefferson County Transportation Advisory Committee
- City of Port Townsend
- Port of Port Townsend
- Landowner - Glen Cove Area
- Landowner - Discovery Rd. Northern Area
- Landowner - Discovery Rd. Southern Area
- Realtor
- Citizens-at-Large (up to three representatives)
- Business
- Equestrians
- Bicyclists
- Pedestrians
That said Committee may add representatives for other groups, agencies, interest groups,
or companies according to said Committee's due process.
