RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners is responsible for the
general health, safety, and welfare of County citizens, and
WHEREAS, the creation of a parks and recreation facility is related to the general
health, safety, and welfare of County citizens, and
WHEREAS, there exists a number of individuals, groups, and agencies interested in
planning and coordinating parks and recreation facilities within the County, and
WHEREAS, said individuals, groups, and agencies can assist the Board of County
Commissioners in carrying out its many responsibilities,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby creates a H. J. Carroll
Park Advisory Committee. That said Committee will adopt by~laws, set a schedule of times
and places for meetings, and be responsible for similar matters related to its functions. That
said Committee will from time to time report to, and apprise, this 'Board as to the H. 1.
Carroll Park project. That said Committee will consist of representation for each of the
following groups, agencies, interest groups, or companies:
Chimacum School District
Port Townsend School District
Quilcene School District
Brinnon School District
Tri-Area business
Chimacum Grange
Pope Resources
Youth Recreation
Adult Recreation
Senior Recreation
Student
Trails representative
Contractor
Landscape Architect
Adjacent Property Owner
That said Committee may add representatives for other groups, agencies, interest groups, or
companies according to said Committee's due process.
