Resolution No. --1L-94
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that moving of
offices within the County Courthouse will improve the ability to delivery services to the citizens
of Jefferson County, and
WHEREAS, funding for the project was not provided in the adopted 1994 County
Budget, and
WHEREAS, additional revenue was received in 1993 from the U.S. Government in
the form of Payment-In- Lieu- of- Taxes (PIL T) funds as a one-time windfall to the county, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to use said funds to pay for the said office improvements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
Public Works is hereby authorized to proceed with the necessary plans and contracts
associated with the Courthouse Office Renovation with a budget not to exceed $85,675, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
A transfer of$115,000 from the County Current Expense Fund to the Construction
and Renovation Fund is authorized for the improvements herewith approved with the remainder
of the funding to be used for future projects.
