RESOLUTION NO.5 7 -94
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners met on this date and reviewed all
information provided by the applicant business; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that the applicant is the owner or
operator of a business retailing petroleum products to the public; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that other retail suppliers capable
of providing twenty-four hour emergency provision of petroleum products, particularly diesel fuel,
are located remote from the local community; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that the applicant has represented
they are capable of faithfully fulfilling the agreement required by the state of Washington for
providing financial assistance; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that the applicant, by selling
petroleum products in this area, meets a vital local government, public health or safety need; Le.
the applicant provides access to diesel fuel on a twenty-four hour emergency basis to assist law
enforcement, the State Department of Wildlife and the Hoh Indian Tribe;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by official action taken on the / 10 ~ day
of rJJ1 ~ 1994, the Board of County Commissioners, certifies to the State of
Washington th the Hoh River Resort should be considered for fInancial assIstance to be used for
corrective action and repair, replacement, reconstruction, and improvement of its underground
petroleum storage tanks and tank site.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the completion of this certification form is a good faith
effort on the part of the Board of County Commissioners to certify that the continued operation of
the Hoh River Resort petroleum underground storage tanks meets a vital local, public health or
safety need. This certification form does not represent comprehensive research of all applicable
laws and regulations. The Hoh River Resort remains responsible for fulfilling all laws, ordinances
and regulations in effect at the time that work commences at the UST site.
