WHEREAS, Jefferson County is the owner of certain real property containing
approximately 0.03 acre, which is not necessary to the future foreseeable needs of the County,
the description of which is set out on Attachment "A" ; and
WHEREAS, Gary Hilbert and Elmer Paul, doing business as, and hereinafter referred
to as, G.E. DEVELOPMENT, is the owner of certain real property containing approximately
0.045 acre, the description of which is set out on Attachment "B"; and
WHEREAS, G.E. DEVELOPMENT is desirous of exchanging the property described
in Attachent "B" for the property described in Attachment "A", and it appears that it is in the
best interests of Jefferson County to exchange the said parcels of property; and
WHEREAS, the exchange of County-owned real property for private property is
authorized by the laws of 1965, 1st Ex. Sess., Ch 21 RCW 36.34.330;
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Jefferson County
Prosecuting Attorney should proceed to present this matter to the Superior Court for a public
hearing and authorization to exchange the parcels of property described in Attachments "A"
and "B" herein.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PARCELS TO BE DEEDED
IN AN EXCHANGE FROM JEFFERSON COUNTY TO G.E. DEVELOPMENT
PARCEL B:
That portion of vacated Pine Street in the Plat of Irving Park Addition described as follows:
COMMENCING at the N.E. corner of Lot 10, Block 35 of Irving Park Addition to the
City of Port Townsend as per Vol. 1 of Plats, Page 42, records of Jefferson County,
Washington; whence the N.W. corner of the Clinger Donation Land Claim represented
by a 4" x 4" concrete monument bears S 88°22'12" E a distance of 496.78 feet; thence
S 1 °44'25" W along the eastern boundaries of Lots 10,9,8,7, and 6 of said Block 35 a
distance of 328.07 feet to the centerline of Pine Street; thence N88°09'56" W along
said centerline a distance of 31.63 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence
continuing along said centerline N 88°09'56" W a distance of 90.63 feet to the
intersection of said centerline with the northerly right of way of the railroad; thence on
a non-tangent curve to the right which arc center bears S 18°01' 56" W a dist,!nce of
1291.81 feet, having an arc length of 95.49 feet and a central angle of 4°14'07";
thence N 1 °50'04" E a distance of 30.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning,
containing 1,302 square feet more or less. Situate in Jefferson County, Washington.

PARCEL C:
That portion of vacated Sixth Street and portions of Lots 1 and 2 of Block 34 in the Plat of
Irving Park Addition described as follows:
COMMENCING at the Northwest corner of the Clinger Donation Land Claim; thence
N 88°22'12" W along the southern right of way of Florence Avenue in the plat of
Irving Park Addition to the City of Port Townsend per Page 42 of Volume 1 of Plats,
records of Jefferson County, Washington, a distance of 351.04 feet to the centerline of
Sixth Street; thence S 1 °33' 45" W along said centerline a distance of 321.30 feet more
or less to the centerline of South Discovery Road, the True Point of Beginning; thence
continuing S 1°33'45" W along said centerline of Sixth Street a distance of 109.56 feet
more or less to the northern right of way of the railroad; thence N 65°58' 18" W along
said railroad right of way a distance of 95.17 feet more or less to the centerliI).e of
South Discovery Road; thence N 51 °47' 51" E along said centerline a distance of
114.47 feet more or less to the True Point of Beginning, less existing right of way,
