WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has reviewed a road vacation
petition submitted by Prospect View, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner held a public hearing on the road
vacation petition on September 21, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner considered testimony of the public,
comments from applicable departments, agencies and offices, and recommendation from the
Jefferson County Public Works Department and Jefferson County Planning Department at the
public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner determined at the public hearing that
the public will benefit from the vacation of portions of the roads and of the lot lines and such
vacation complies with the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan and other applicable plans,
policies or ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners considered said Hearing
Examiner's report of the public hearing and his recommendation for the .vacation request and
hereby adopts the Findings of the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner dated September 27, 1993;
and
WHEREAS, compensation required pursuant to RCW 36.87.120 and Jefferson County
Road Vacation Ordinance No. 06-0615-92 has been met,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following be vacated and abandoned
pursuant to RCW 36.87.140 and Jefferson County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 06-0615-92:
That portion of platted, unopened Olympic Avenue being 50 feet in width lying between
Blocks 158 and 161 of Ironda1e Division No.6, as recorded at Page 139, Volume 2 of
Plats, records of Jefferson County, Washington, and adjoining Lots 1 through 11 of said
Blocks 158 and 161 in said plat; also the alley being 15 feet in width and 200 feet in
length lying in said Block 158; also those lot lines between lots 5 through 8 and those
lines between lots 9 through 12 in said Block 158; also those lot lines between lots 1
through 4, those lines between lots 5 through 8, and those lines between lots 8 through
11 in said Block 161. ALSO, that portion of Elston Avenue being 25 feet in width lying
easterly of the centerline, together with a strip of Elston Avenue being 5 feet in width
lying westerly ofthe centerline, bounded by the northerly margin of Cascade Avenue, the
Southerly margin of Prospect Avenue, and the easterly margin of Olympic Avenue, all in
said Irondale Division No.6.
