Vacation of a Portion of x
Platted Ferry Street (South Point Road) x
in the Plat of Trails End Homesites x
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has reviewed a road
vacation petition submitted by Ray and Harriette Buchman and Walter and Peggy
Pederson; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner pro tem held a public hearing
on the road vacation petition on March 2, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner pro tem considered testimony
of the public, comments from applicable departments, agencies and offices, and
recommendation from the Jefferson County Public Works Department and Jefferson County
Planning Department at the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner pro tern determined at the
public hearing that the public will benefit from the vacation of portions of the roads and
such vacation complies with the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan and other applicable
plans, policies or ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners considered said Hearing
Examiner pro tern's report of the public hearing and his recommendation for the vacation
request and hereby adopts the Findings of the Jefferson County Hearing Examiner dated
March 15, 1993; and
WHEREAS, compensation required pursuant to RCW 36.87.120 and Jefferson
County Road Vacation Ordinance No. 06-0615-92 has been met,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following be vacated and
abandoned pursuant to RCW 36.87.140 and Jefferson County Road Vacation Ordinance No.
06-0615-92:
That portion of platted Ferry Street being approximately 60 feet in length and 60
feet in width lying between Lot 9 of Block 8 and Lot 9 of Block 9 of Trail's End
Homesites First Addition, as recorded at page 32, volume 3 of plats, records of
Jefferson County, Washington.
