WHEREAS, Jefferson County, a municipal corporation, owns certain real property located in
Section 9, Township 30 N., Range 1 W.W.M., more fully described as follow:
Tax Lot 18 in Government Lot 1. Section 9. Township 30 No, Range 1 W.W.M.; and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.34.290 provides for dedication of county land for public use in any city
or town; and '
WHEREAS, the County has determined that it is feasible to construct the extensions of
Howard Street and La Salle Street, which are public streets within the City of Port Townsend, over
the above-referenced property; and
WHEREAS, the County has reviewed and concurred with the wetland assessment prepared for
the site; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has determined that it is in the best
interests of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County shall dedicate to the public the
extensions of Howard Street and La Salle Street over and across Tax Lot 18.
