In the Matter of Establishing
a Special Fund to be Known as
the DCD CDBG/Skookum Fund

RESOLUTION NO. 112-93
WHEREAS, Jefferson County applied for and was granted a Community
Development Block Grant in the amount of $500,000 from the State of Washington
for a multi-faceted transitional center for disadvantaged people; and,
WHEREAS, the County has entered into an Agreement (dated September 7,
1993) with Skookum Products and Services and the Port of Port Townsend, as sub-
recipients of these grant funds, which outlines the responsibilities of each party with
respect to this grant; and,
WHEREAS, because the County as recipient of the grant funds, has the
administrative authority over the activities related to the Block grant, it is in the best
interest of all parties to establish a special fund which will facilitate the financial
record keeping required.
NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer be, and
she is hereby authorized to establish a special fund to be known as the DCD
CDBG/Skookum Fund for the CDBG funds received by the County that will be
passed through to the Port of Port Townsend and Skookum Products and Services as
provided in the above identified Agreement.
