'f -';:; JEFFERSON COUNTY STATE OF W ASH I NGTON In the Matter of Payment} of Fees to Bayshore } Enterprises for Animal Licenses} Issued by the County Auditor} RESOLUTION NO. 6-92 WHEREAS, the County authorized Bayshore Enterprises to act as their agent for the purpose of issuing animal licenses and collecting fees pursuant to the County Animal Control Ordinance and to conduct an animal licensing program in compliance with animal licensing requirements; and WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners entered into an Contract with the City of Port Townsend and Bayshore Enterprises for Animal Control services within the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County for the period which expired December 31, 1991, and WHEREAS, that Contract was extended to June 30, 1992 by approval of a Contract Extension on December 16, 1991, and WHEREAS, the County also agreed to pay Bayshore Enterprises all fees collected for the issuance of animal licenses by the Jefferson County Auditor's office; now, therefore, BE IT RESOL VED, by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners, that all fees collected for the sale of animal licenses issued by the Jefferson County Auditor's office are to be paid to Bayshore Enterprises on a quarterly basis for the duration of the said contract extension. dLt ~ ,APPROVED AN D 81 GNED this day 0 -'/1UI ~' 1992, , ," , Î " -., . "" \' \ JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SEAL: ATTEST: Member ¡$~t~ C?& ~ I (S-c¡ C?~:J~~ ,t))C{ 9 t'3Gt ANIMAL CONTROL AGREEMENT CONTRACT EXTENSION Bayshore Enterprises, the City of Port Townsend, and Jefferson County, all parties to an agreement which expires on December 31, 1991, do hereby extend the term of the agreement to June 30, 1992; subject to the following changes: Section 20, COMPENSATION: Add the following: DATE: January 24, 1992 April 1, 1992 CITY: $9,957.94 9,957.94 CO UNTY : $7,686.52 7,686.52 LICENSE FEES: Bayshore shall be responsible for issuing licenses, collecting the appropriate fees, entering data from the license applications into licensing software developed by Bayshore. Licensing costs incurred in November, purchase of 1992 license tags, license applications, labeling and mailing, advertising, in the amount of $1,081 and shall be paid to Bayshore out of license fees collected, Further direct costs associated with advertising licensing, mailing, etc. for licensing shall be recovered by Bayshore from collected license fees, Authorized purveyors who have sold licenses in the past shall continue to collect their handling fee at past rates; and Bayshore shall treat this as an expense to be deducted from collected license fees, The amount left after deducting the above shall be known as "Net Sales - Licenses." The "Net Sales - Licenses" shall be posted to an "Asset Account titled "ACCRUED NET SALES - LICENSES." Bayshore shall retain 50% of the Accrued Net Sales - Licenses on a monthly basis. At the end of this contract Bayshore shall pay the city/County the other 50% of the Net Sales - Licenses. All 1992 License Fees collected in 1991 will be deposited in January 1992, Section 21, ADJUSTMENTS TO COMPENSATION SCHEDULE: Add the following: Bayshore shall obtain insurance coverage, satisfactory to the County, for the County provided vehicle. Bayshore shall pay the premium for such coverage, and shall be promptly reimbursed by the City/County for the premium paid. Bayshore shall be responsible for routine maintenance only on the vehicles provided. "Routine maintenance" is defined as maintaining proper oil and water levels, tire pressures, oil changes and lubrication at proper intervals, and such tune-ups and maintenance as required by warranty schedules. Animal Control Agreement - Continued Page: 2 It is recognized by the parties hereto the building and equipment therein is in a fully depreciated state, and that to keep the operation going may require substantial work. Before undertaking such repairs, Bayshore shall obtain authorization from the City to effect the repairs. The City shall respond within three working days of the date of the request. Section 29 SURRENDER AND DISPOSITION OF PROPER1Y: Add the following: City/County shall have the option to purchase for the amount of $630.00 at the termination of this contract, the Bayshore developed Animal License software on 5.25" DS, DD disks, PCfools backup Version 6, which operates on PC compatible computers. If purchased, Bayshore waives all rights to the licensing data installed on the File Express program which may be used as "shareware."
