STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON Placing the Matter of Dissolution of Cape George Sewer District No.1 on the May 19, 1992 Ballot } } } } RESOLUTION NO. 2i-g? WHEREAS, the residents of the Cape George Sewer District No.1 have filed a petition with the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington requesting the dissolution of said Sewer District in accordance with RCW 56.04.090, and WHEREAS, the Sewer District is unable to accept or pursue any action that could possibly result in a sewerage disposal plan without the possibility of raising additional funds; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Sewer District No.1 have indicated that the Sewer District does not have sufficient funds to sustain operations for another year and since it is not good business to continue operations that will incur unpayable debts, and WHEREAS, the existence of an active sewer district precludes another entity (such as a P.u.D., County, or another sewer district), from actively pursuing an alternate sewerage disposal plan; and WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Auditor's Office has certified the above mentioned petition to be sufficient. NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, that the Board of County Commissioners herewith directs that a measure to authorize the dissolution of the Cape George Sewer District No.1 be placed before the voters of said District at a special election to be held on the 19th day of May, 1992, and BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED, that the proposition shall be submitted to the voters in the following form: PROPOSITION DISSOLUTION OF CAPE GEORGE SEWER DISTRICf NO.1 Shall Cape George Sewer District No.1 be dissolved due to lack of sufficient funds to sustain operations?
