WHEREAS, Jefferson County granted a Franchise via Resolution No. 8.86 to
Ludlow Utilities for operation of water and sewer lines on certain county road rights of way;
and
WHEREAS, Ludlow Utilities, since renamed Ludlow Water Company, is wholly
owned by Pope Resource~; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with Section 15 of Jefferson County Ordinance No. 2-
81, written notification has been received by Jefferson County of intention to assign Ludlow
Utilities' Franchise to Pope Resources, the parent company;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that effective June 22, 1992, Jefferson
County Franchise No. 8-86 shall be assigned to Pope Resources.

Dear Ms. Delaney:
Jefferson County Resolution No. 8-86 granted a Franchise to Ludlow
Utilities for operation of water and sewer lines on County Road Rights of
Way. Ordinance No. 2-81 outlines terms and conditions relevant to such
franchises.
Ludlow Utilities, since renamed Ludlow Water Company, is wholly owned by
Pope Resources. In accordance with Section 15 of Ordinance No. 2-81, we
are notifying you of our intention to assign the Franchise to Pope
Resources effective sixty (60) days from the date of this letter.
The approved Comprehensive Plans for water and sewer were provided to the
County Planning Department upon publication as required by Section 3 of
Resolution No. 8-86. Additional copies are available on request.
