COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
STATE OF WASHINGTON
In the matter of the establishment RESOLUTION NO. 67-92
of the Discovery Bay Watershed Management
Committee.
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners wishes
to establish a Discovery Bay Watershed Management Committee for the
purpose of developing a watershed action plan for the Discovery Bay
Watershed in accordance with chapter 400-12 WAC, Local Planning and
Management of Nonpoint Source Pollution; and
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has responsibility
for the adopti on of the Di scovery Bay Watershed Acti on Pl an as
county pol icy based on the recommendation of the Discovery Bay
Watershed Management Committee;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the responsiblilties and
duties of the Discovery Bay Watershed Management Committee shall
be to assess current and projected water quality in the Discovery
Bay Watershed, to identify and describe nonpoint pollution problems
in the watershed, to set goals and objectives for the remedy and
prevention of nonpoint pollution problems in the watershed, to
review and comment upon rules, policies, or ordinances concerning
water quality in the watershed, to develop and adopt a Discovery
Bay Watershed Action Plan containing prescribed actions, programs
or policies to protect water quality in the watershed, and to
oversee the development of implementation, evaluation and public
involvment processes for the Discovery Bay Watershed Action Plan;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Di scovery Bay Watershed
Management Committee is hereby directed to adopt groundrules and
a decision making process, and said groundrules shall be thence
adopted by Jefferson County as the groundrules of the Discovery Bay
Watershed Management Committee. Incorporated in said groundrules
shall be the committee work plan and schedule and any other
procedures the committee shall choose to adopt.
