HEARING NOTICE: PROPOSED }
BUDGET APPROPRIA TIONS/EXTENSIONS}
VARIOUS COUNTY DEPARTMENTS }
RESOLUTION NO. 110-92
WHEREAS, various Jefferson County Departments have requested either
budget appropriations for their 1992 budgets due to additional expenditures, which were
not anticipated at the time of preparing their said budgets, or budget extensions to allow
expenditures of unanticipated reimbursements received from fees, and/or grants from the
State and Federal government; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that a need and
emergency exists that could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of
preparing the budgets for 1992 and the sum of $154,062.00 is needed for appropriation
from the unencumbered Current Expense Fund; $8,000.00 is needed for appropriation
from the unencumbered Veterans Relief Fund, and the sum of $36,956.00 is needed for
certain budget extensions due to unanticipated State grant funding and/or fees for the
Departments as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby
declared, and that appropriations and extensions be made for the above noted
Departments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
emergency appropriations and extensions and that said hearing be held in the County
Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend Washington, on the 7th day
of December 1992, at the hour of 11:30 a.m., and that notice of said hearing be
published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any
interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriations for such
alleged emergency.
